چکیده
Viruses are one of the most potential risk factors that negatively affect different life stages honey bees. This study was conducted to determine presence infections caused by deformed wing virus (DWV), black queen cell (BQCV), and acute bee paralysis (ABPV) in bees beekeeping regions Burdur, along with obtaining information about their prevalence this particular region. In our study, adult were taken from 31 beehives comb samples had breeds sampled randomly 15 areas within The collected analyzed using reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), DWV, BQCV, ABPV determined be 74.19% (23/31), 25.81%, (8/31) respectively. distribution positive rates multiple colonies. Of samples, 12 (%38.71) detected only for virus, 9 (%29.03) two viruses (DWV-ABPV) 8 (%25.81) all three viruses. present significant damage colonies Burdur region RT-PCR. To knowledge, is first report mentioned revealed epidemiological conditions lead conclusion serious measures needed control these

Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (rt-PCR).
Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) has become a well-established and powerful molecular technique for studying ribonucleic acids. It is used in medical diagnostics for detecting viral RNA, in hematology and oncology for detecting chimeric transcripts of rearranged genes (1), and in the broad area of research applications in gene expression studies. Since its introduction (...
متن کاملMolecular Identification of Six Honeybee Viruses in Iranian Apiaries
The identification of honeybee viruses is of serious importance, particularly considering the lack of information on the natural incidence of viral infections in honeybee populations worldwide. Moreover, the global spread of Varroa destructor in honeybee colonies has a significant effect on the viral infection. In the present study, 160 samples of adult bee from apparently healthy colonies but ...
متن کاملDynamics of Persistent and Acute Deformed Wing Virus Infections in Honey Bees, Apis mellifera
The dynamics of viruses are critical to our understanding of disease pathogenesis. Using honey bee Deformed wing virus (DWV) as a model, we conducted field and laboratory studies to investigate the roles of abiotic and biotic stress factors as well as host health conditions in dynamics of virus replication in honey bees. The results showed that temperature decline could lead to not only signifi...
متن کاملMolecular detection of Acute Bee Paralysis Virus in Iran
Acute bee paralysis virus (ABPV) is a small single stranded RNA virus recently classified within the family Dicistroviridae, genus Cripavirus. Here, we describe the first study of ABPV in unhealthy bee colonies, which has been an unusual loss in adult bee population and significant honey bee mortality during the year. The aim of this study was evaluation of ABPV infection in honey bee colonies ...
متن کاملFirst molecular detection of Chronic Bee Paralysis Virus (CBPV) in Iran
Among the viruses infecting honey bees, chronic bee paralysis virus (CBPV) is known to induce significant losses in honey bee colonies. CBPV is an unclassified polymorphic single stranded RNA virus. Using RT-PCR, the virus infections in honey bees can be detected in a rapid and accurate manner. Bee samples were collected from 23 provinces of Iran, between July-September 2011 and 2012. A tota...
